What’s more, not only human runners will take part in the APAO 2017 Charity Run. Clever, well-trained guide dogs from Guide Dogs Association of the Blind (GDAB) in Singapore will also participate! These canine friends will surely provide encouragement and entertainment for everyone involved in the race.

At the APAO Congress in 2016, runners raised fund for the Nepal Ophthalmic Society and designated as part of relief efforts for the April 2015 earthquake in Nepal. This year, proceeds of the APAO Charity Run will be split between the APAO International Fellowship Program and GDAB in Singapore. The fee of Charity Entry (US$133/SG$190) includes US$33(SG$40) entry fee and a donation of US$100(SG$150), the donation of US$150 will be equally donated to two official beneficiaries.
